It looks like there’s a new player coming to the horse world – http://www.FindHorse.info – that will be contending with some of the other farm listing websites out there.  I was invited to review the site by the site owner (a friend of mine) and felt that the quality of what I see there is on par with or better than other sites I’ve seen out there thus far.  Only time will tell if the site is successful, but I wish the owner much luck with it!

When you’re developing these types of sites, it’s important to keep the end user in mind.  You want to make sure that the navigation is easy and that they’re able to find everything that they’re looking for very quickly.  When users get frustrated, they end up finding other resources for the information they’re seeking.  If you want a good example of how to structure your site, http://www.FindHorse.info is a very good example.  I recommend everyone check them out!  (Note that the site is still in the beginning phases, but I’m sure my friend won’t mind me sharing a little link love for his new site.  Just please be patient with him… I’m sure he’ll have the site completed soon enough!) 

If you haven’t heard about the torrential downpours that Atlanta has received lately, you probably haven’t had the news on much. The Atlanta metro area has received over 20 inches of rain in some areas in a very short period of time. Here’s the road in front of a farm we received a call to go help rescue the horses at the other day. It’s on Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock, Georgia.

So I was browsing around the other day looking for camping supplies for later this fall when I happened to come upon a store that reminded me of a few things I needed.  You see, growing up we always had my dad’s old army blankets to take with us camping.  Sure they’re heavy.  Sure they’re scratchy.  But being made out of wool, they’ll keep you uber warm.
